I Had To Have My Niece Explain What RSS Was
I consider myself a pretty well-educated woman, but when it comes to technology, I have to admit that I’m a little lost. The other day I asked my 10 year old niece What is RSS and was quietly surprised when she was able to explain it to me. It is essentially a notification system that alerts subscribers to any changes made in their favorite websites, blogs or music sites. The site needs to offer this service, of course, before it can be added to any kind of favorite list. I thought this was ingenious and I now look for it whenever I find a site I’d like to keep tabs on.
